A few years ago I took a ride up to Lake Placid, NY for a long weekend in July. The last day there was spent riding the small rounds around Whiteface Mtn. This shot was taken with a tiny little Canon Powershot SD400 from the top of the mountain early in the morning before the fog and clouds had burned away. The road itself was in pretty poor condition with deep, tire-swallowing potholes that wound up jarring the Indian Head loose on the front fender of the old Chief.
That said, my trip next summer may end up taking me right by Whiteface again, and if it does I’ll surely take the ride to the top.
