Sounds for Sunday: 40 years of The Boss

40 years ago this week, Bruce Springsteen released his debut studio album Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ. And thus, a legend was born.

While Nebraska is still my personal favorite of his albums, Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ is a solid and important debut from one of the most important figures in American Rock & Roll. You can definitely hear the Dylan influences throughout the album, but it’s still all Bruce, regardless.

“Lost in the Flood” is, I think, my favorite track from the album, and I found a live version of it from 1975. Enjoy.
