Saturday Sights: Allegheny National Forest

I started off my trip back in 2011 with a lazy tour through Allegheny National Forest.

There’s some great riding throughout PA, and most of the roads in ANF are no exception. The pavement was good, and the views terrific.

I especially enjoyed the forest and fire roads I stumbled across and wound up exploring.

Along one of those roads I found an empty campsite and called it a day.

Pic doesn’t do it justice, but the view from the campsite of the sunset through the trees was gorgeous.

In the morning it was back to the fire roads as I made my way towards WV.

Allegheny National Forest was a great start to the trip, and I highly recommend giving it a tour if you ever get the chance.
